NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING

Coupeville Comprehensive Plan – Planning Commission

Notice is hereby given that the Coupeville Planning Commission will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 6:00 PM, or as soon as possible thereafter, in the Island County Commissioner’s Hearing Room, 1 NE 6^th Street, Coupeville, WA, to deliberate and recommend the adoption of the Town of Coupeville Comprehensive Plan Update and associated development regulations to the Town Council.

The public is invited to attend this hearing and provide written comments in person or submit written comments in advance of the hearing. Written comments should be received by the Planning Director, 4 NE 7^th Street, Coupeville, WA 98239, or by email at planner@townofcoupeville.org, before 4:30 PM on July 6, 2026. The Final Draft Comprehensive Plan is available for viewing on the Town’s website at https://townofcoupeville.org/coupevilles-2025-comprehensive-plan-periodic-update/. The meeting agenda and packet will be posted approximately one week prior to the meeting here: https://townofcoupeville.org/minutes-agendas/.

Coupeville Comprehensive Plan – Town Council

Notice is hereby given that the Coupeville Town Council will hold a public hearing on Tuesday, July 14, 2026, at 6:00 PM, or as soon as possible thereafter, in the Island County Commissioner’s Hearing Room, 1 NE 6^th Street, Coupeville, WA, to deliberate and take action to adopt the Town of Coupeville Comprehensive Plan Update and associated development regulations. The Council will consider an amendment suggested by the Planning Commission to the final documents before adoption.

The public is invited to attend this hearing and provide written comments in person or submit written comments in advance of the hearing. Interlocal Agreements

The Interlocal Cooperation Act provides the authority for Washington State local governments to enter into interlocal agreements with other public agencies in the interest of cooperatively sharing resources for their mutual benefit. In accordance with RCW 39.34, the Town of Coupeville has executed interlocal agreements with other public agencies for various purposes over the years.
